Judgement where the decisions are really made
When cyber-risk reaches the board, it stops being the CISO's problem: under NIS2 and the duty of care, it becomes the personal responsibility of the director who signs, with fines, reputation and business continuity on the line. Cybersecurity and AI aren't a matter for technicians, they are what keeps your company open and billing instead of closing within a year. That's why they are an investment, not an expense.
Board advisor
I oversee cyber-risk, responsible AI and compliance (NIS2, DORA, AI Act) and translate it into board language, not engine-room jargon.
Security strategy & leadership
As a practising CISO, I define the security strategy, decide where every euro goes and support the leadership team on the decisions that really matter.
Training & speaking
I teach at universities and business schools and I'm often on stage. I train boards and executives, and I explain this so anyone can follow it.
Track record
Real experience, not theory
I have discovered security flaws in NASA, Google, Facebook and the U.S. Department of Defense, work as a CISO at an industrial multinational and evaluate innovation and cybersecurity projects for the European Commission.
