The CyberWeek with the Captain | Ep. 3
I’m back from ENISE with my batteries charged and an anecdote that’s hard to beat: this year they kidnapped me to give a talk. In this third episode of The CyberWeek I tell the story with the Captain, who also passed through Leon and shares the diagnosis. ENISE turns eighteen and has become the meeting point for much of the sector in Spain and Latin America. There were people from Colombia, Brazil, the United States, Germany. Moments when it was literally impossible to move through the corridors.
The talks run for fifteen minutes, speed-date style, and it works: you sit down, say your piece and make way for the next one. In the middle of all that, a colleague and I were given a staged kidnapping, hooded figures included, to present tongue-in-cheek the best practices for getting yourself hacked. A little surreal, yes, though I know plenty of people who don’t need that talk to actually do them. Beyond the show, the feeling is the usual one. The community is alive, it’s eager, and you can tell.
