The CyberWeek - Interview with Mr Hamza

After touring the pro-Russian hacktivism of Eastern Europe, in this CyberWeek with the Cibercapitan we cross to North Africa to read the interview with Mr Hamza, one of the most active and dangerous Islamic hacktivist groups right now. Moroccan, with a long history of attacks and a firm candidate for the top of the threats against the West and NATO’s allies, Mr Hamza is part of the Holy League (with one L, which autocorrect always insists on doubling), that alliance bringing together Killnet, Z Pentest Alliance and company under the old idea that there’s strength in unity.

The interesting part is the crossover. We’d spent months interviewing pro-Russian groups and asking how they feel collaborating with Islamic groups, when on the geopolitical stage that relationship has never been exactly comfortable. Chechnya, Afghanistan, pure history. In cyberspace, however, they shake hands. And here comes the usual warning, even if it’s a shame to have to add it: everything here is the actor’s own answers, exactly as they reach us. No censorship and no filter, so you can really see what drives each of these groups and what danger they represent. Everyone can draw their own conclusions.
