DIGITAL REPUTATION 💪 How to PROTECT your digital identity against CYBERBULLYING?
Even if you’re not a troll, you surely know some hater who makes half a family’s life miserable from behind a screen. To learn how to spot them and defend ourselves I sit down with Selva Orejón, who has spent fourteen years battling these people at the head of her company and has lived on the move between Barcelona, Mexico, Berlin and even Israel.
Selva breaks down digital harassment as an almost psychopathic behavior and tackles it on three fronts: the legal one (certifying the evidence with services like eGarante or Coloriuris and being very stubborn so they’ll accept your complaint), the technological one, and the psychological one, which for her is the hardest. She tells us that she and her team are currently being harassed by someone who got out of prison, and that this has led her to post less and not report in real time where she is. We also talk about human resources snooping on candidates’ profiles, the real cost of cleaning up a reputation, and the fake news built around the leak involving the king emeritus.
Her forecast convinces me: we’re heading toward attacks that are less sophisticated on the outside and much more so on the inside, more social engineering than great technical feats.
